Santiago climbed further into bed with the devil on Grand Hotel Season 1 Episode 10

Santiago has underestimated Teresa up until this point in time. If there is one thing you should never do, it is underestimate a powerful woman.

Now that Teresa wants to make herself a fixture at the Riviera Grand, things are about to go from bad to worse. How were the impacts already being felt throughout Grand Hotel? Read on in our review to find out.

Men on a Mission - Grand Hotel Season 1 Episode 10

Looking at Santiago and Felix, it is hard not to draw comparisons between the two.

Both have done terrible things for money, and both have impeccable taste in women. However, that is where their similarities end.

Santiago, while he has made many mistakes to keep the hotel afloat, he has not done so with intentions of hurting others.

Felix deliberately stole money from innocent people, and instead of sticking around to face the consequences of his crimes, he ran away leaving his family to clean up the mess.

Men like Felix are the type of men that make you want to chuck things at the TV. As viewers, it is easy to see their manipulative nature, but we are forced to watch them weasel their way into the lives of characters that we love.

Why so Serious? - Grand Hotel Season 1 Episode 10

Gigi just weeks ago was Felix's biggest critic, but suddenly everything has changed?

Gigi: I didn't lie to you about Felix. I just didn't tell you he was here.
Santiago: Oh, don't play games. You kept this from me.
Gigi: You're lecturing me about keeping secrets. That's pretty ballsy, even for you.
Santiago: He's in that room Gigi, how could you let him stay there?
Gigi: I didn't. The girls put him there. Yolanda had the key somehow.
Santiago: I'm gonna call the police.
Gigi: Like you did ten years ago? Yeah, Felix told me you're the one that turned him in.
Santiago: He stole millions not just from me from many others. Why does it matter who blew the whistle?
Gigi: Because you ripped my family apart. I had no warning Santiago. I had nobody to help me or the girls.
Santiago: I helped you.
Gigi: Yeah, you lit the fire, and then you swooped in and put it out. What a hero you are.

Understandably, she would be hurt that Santiago betrayed them by turning Felix in, but that doesn't cancel out what Felix did.

Felix is the one who hurt her family by being a criminal. In many ways, Santiago saved her from that.

Her blinders are on now, though, and no matter how wrong Felix was, to her, Santiago is the real villain in their story.

A Plan Gone Wrong? - Grand Hotel Season 1 Episode 10

Santiago should have come clean about the real reason he hurt Felix in the hotel room. Gigi was so focused on Santiago's threats of turning Felix over to Teresa that she couldn't see anything other than that.

It is one thing to try to win your wife back; it is another to accuse Santiago of murdering his.

As easy as it may seem to think that Santiago could be guilty of murdering Beatriz, there is obviously more to the story.

With what we have seen of Beatriz so far, it doesn't seem completely out of the realm of possibility that she committed suicide. It is entirely possible that Santiago lied about how she died to protect the children or even to ensure he received money from a life insurance policy.

If this is, in fact, the case, it is no wonder that Santiago would be triggered by the accusation.

No More Mrs. Nice Guy - Grand Hotel Season 1 Episode 10

Unfortunately, Felix is going to have to show his true colors in a grand spectacle for Gigi to see it. Hopefully, she manages to come out without any further damage being done to her by him.

With Teresa looking to make herself a staple at the hotel now, and the world's worst spies now hot on her trail, I can't help but be worried for Danny and Jason.

Danny will stop at nothing to figure out what happened to Sky, even if that means putting himself in danger, or ruining things with Alicia in the process.

Danny may have the backing of a member of the police force, but that doesn't mean that she can keep him safe if he get's caught by Teresa.

Somebody's in Trouble - Grand Hotel Season 1 Episode 10

Teresa  seemed to take a liking to Jason and you have to wonder if  she is looking to bring him on to her team. If she is looking to become more engrained in the hotel then she is going to need more people on the ground than just Mateo.

Who better than the son of Santiago's right hand woman?

The more concerning part is, Jason might let her recruit him to help Danny. Jason is loyal to a fault but at what point is enough enough?

Danny is going to need his help even more now, though, after Alicia fired him.

Even though in the real world Alicia firing Danny would never fly given their history, it was still a satisfying moment to watch.

Of course, Danny feels that he is doing what is right for his family, but Alicia has been used in this whole process.

Daddy's Girl - Grand Hotel Season 1 Episode 10

While Danny may have ended up falling for her, that doesn't negate the fact that he went in with ill intentions and has lied to her every day.

Finding out about Heather was bad enough, but finding out that he has been secretly investigating her family and is accusing her father of being involved with organized crime? That is a whole different story.

It is only a matter of time before Alicia does her own digging and realizes that Danny's claims aren't completely unfounded, but team Dalicia is going to have to suffer until then.

Danny and Alicia weren't the only relationship feeling the strain on Grand Hotel Season 1 Episode 10.

Surprise! - Grand Hotel Season 1 Episode 10

Marissa and Yoli have been a highlight of the show so far, so watching them struggle because of Felix was hard to watch, only adding to my disdain for him.

The reveal that Marissa is an undocumented immigrant felt obvious by the time it was revealed but that didn't take away from the impact the scene had.

Marissa: Please don't tell anyone. No one knows outside of my family.
Yoli: Well, I guess that makes me your family now.

It is hard even to imagine how someone in Marissa's shoes could feel in this current political climate. Her admitting her status to Yoli shows just how much trust she has in her, and how much faith she has in their relationship.

Radiating Beauty - Grand Hotel Season 1 Episode 10

Other thoughts:

-Jason getting under someone new to get over Ingrid is cause for celebration. It is about time that he gets far away from her toxicity.

-Here is to hoping that the Ingrid and Javi storyline has officially been put to bed after Javi made peace with her. Javi deserves someone good in his life, and Ingrid is far from that.

-Who else is ready for a showdown between Mrs. P and Teresa after their brief scene together this week? Katey Sagal and Wendy Robinson killed that scene. You could cut the tension with a dull butter knife.

-After very little Brian Craig in Grand Hotel Season 1 Episode 9 and only being utilized as comic relief in this episode, I hope we can get back to meatier storylines for Javi in the coming episodes.
