Arrow's final season begins in just a few weeks.

With so many changes ahead, we're pleased to share some good news ahead of Arrow Season 8.

One of the most beloved characters will not only be returning, they'll be recurring throughout the final season!

Stephen Amell's Oliver Queen has lost a lot of people during his short life.

His charmed life turned into a hellish nightmare when he chose to cheat on his girlfriend, Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy), by taking her sister Sarah on a yacht cruise with his father.

When the boat capsized (the villainry behind it unknown at that time), Oliver's father sacrificed himself so that Oliver could live.

Living, in Oliver's case, meant undergoing a transformation form wild playboy to skilled survivalist.

His return five years later saw him reunited with his mother, Moira (Susanna Thompson) and his sister, Thea (Willa Holland).

His meager existence from the island, though, followed him back to civilization, and that meant he was left fighting what he believed was his father's battle against evil in Starling City.

His dangerous life led to the loss of his best friend, Tommy (Colin Donnell), in one of many tragedies that would befall The Glades.

His beloved mother also fell prey to the vengeance of Slade Wilson when she sacrificed herself to save her children.

So it's hardly surprising that years later Thea would decide the vigilante life wasn't for her any longer.

She decided to peace out with her boyfriend, Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) who was on the run after taking the fall for Oliver among other things.

But now Oliver is facing the absolute worst.

Without knowing his future would include a daughter with his wife, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards), Oliver offered his life in exchange for those of Kara Danvers aka Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and Barry Allen aka The Flash (Grant Gustin).

As a result of his plea saving their futures, he's sacrificed his own with his wife and new daughter, Mia, who are forced to flee Star City to live in obscurity for their own safety.

Without many people left behind to support him emotionally, Oliver will be thrilled when Thea returns as he prepares for his darkest days.

When Roy returned during Arrow Season 7, it was revealed he and Thea were no longer together. Even in the flashforwards, they remained distant and hadn't recovered their lost love.

But now there is a possibility that future could change, as Willa Holland will be back as Thea Queen and recurring throughout the final season!

Showrunner Beth Schwartz said, "We are thrilled to have Willa back in our final season,” and we couldn't agree more.

Returning faces are all the rage as the clock ticks down to Oliver Queen's swan song.

Thompson and Donnell are also returning as Moira and Tommy.

While they're dead, the Crisis On Infinite Earths will see them reemerge, most likely on one of those infinite earths (before they're gone forever).
