Riverdale Pays Tribute to Luke Perry in First Season 4 Photos
Paul Dailly at .We're just one month away from the fourth season premiere of Riverdale.
The CW has dropped some photos from Riverdale Season 4 Episode 1, titled "In Memoriam," which will be a tribute to Luke Perry.
Perry passed away earlier this year following complications from a stroke.
Because the series was in the home stretch of filming Riverdale Season 3 at the time, there was no on-screen exit plot for Fred Andrews, who was played by Perry.

The photos tease the Riverdale gang coming together, likely to pay their respects to Fred given that it has now been revealed that the episode will be devoted to Perry.
Molly Ringwald will be back as Mary Andrews and will likely stick around town to be her son's full-time guardian.
There's no confirmation whether Fred's death will be linked to Riverdale Season 4's big mystery, but given that showrunner, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa told TV Line that the season premiere would be a standalone episode, there's a good chance it will not be linked.

With the kids entering senior year, tensions are poised to be at an all-time high, but one thing's for sure:
Everyone will rally around Archie in his time of need, as evidenced by the below photo.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but Shannen Doherty, who previously starred with Perry on Beverly Hills, 90210 will also be stopping by in a guest-starring capacity.
Perry had a big role in the series, so it's great that everyone who worked with him will get to pay their respects with this episode.
It will also help fans who are struggling to imagine what the show will be like without Fred.
What we do know is that the episode will take place around the Independence Day parade.
Riverdale is being paired with the similarly toned Nancy Drew this season, so if you're in the market for another mystery drama, then keep all eyes on The CW at 9/8c following new episodes of your favorite teen drama.
