Grey's Anatomy Fans Are Furious With Bailey over Latest Twist

at .  Updated at .

Are you still stunned over Bailey's actions on Grey's Anatomy Season 16 Episode 3?

On "Reunited," Bailey (Chandra Wilson) fired Qadri (Sophia Taylor Ali) when the latter voiced her support for Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) following her firing for falsifying an insurance claim.

A Crisis - Grey's Anatomy Season 15 Episode 25

It was a surprising scene, and it came right after Qadri worked with Jo on a surgery that Grey was originally earmarked to perform.

"Guess how many residents came to work with Meredith Grey," Qadri told Bailey.

"We didn't come here for Dr. Koracick or Karev or Avery. Dr. Bailey, we didn't come here for you."

Quadri continued, "We all had a choice in programs, but we picked this one. I picked this one, and it wasn't to watch Meredith Grey on a TV screen."

Bailey wasted no time in throwing her own two cents into the ring.

"You know what? You're right," she said.

"You shouldn't have to work like that, so let's fix it. Work somewhere else."

"You're fired, Dr. Qadri. Now you and your hero have something in common."

It was a tense scene!

But fans are struggling to agree with Bailey on this, primarily because it appears Bailey is firing everyone these days.

In essence, Bailey is trying to follow protocol, but getting rid of Qadri was a step too far in this scenario.

"I‘m not caught up on #GreysAnatomy yet but did Bailey seriously fire Qadri because she took a stand for Meredith?" said one fan via Twitter, who added:

"Wow. Bailey continues to grow into the worst. And this whole storyline is so stupid anyways, Doctors did. worse than fraud in this hospital."

Another said:

"Why the hell did she fire Qadri??? I mean yeah Qadri threw a lil shade, but Bailey isn't an angel."

"Many other doctors at GSMH have thrown far worse shade without being fired Bailey doesn't deserve Qadri #GreysAnatomy."

"You know what would be amazing? If this horrid behavior on the part of Bailey results in her losing her job as Chief and having them hire Tom or Meredith etc," said another.

One other fan took aim at showrunner Krista Vernoff in their tweet:

"If @KristaVernoff has written Qadri out of the show I'm going to be so mad. She represents but also its not fair to be honest."

Don't Sass Bailey - Grey's Anatomy Season 16 Episode 2

"All because Bailey is on a vendetta against everyone who is pro Meredith Grey. How many times has Bailey done it to Webber?"

In the aftermath, Vernoff shared a tweet of her own, confirming that Qadri is out of the series.

"We will miss the exquisite and delightful Sofia Taylor Ali as she heads to New Zealand for big TV & Film adventures! Bye Dr. Dahlia Qadri! We love you! #GreysAnatomy #WeKnewHerWhen."

It sucks saying goodbye to any character, but it seems that was Qadri's exit right there.
