Better Call Saul Season 5: Premiere Date Announced!

at .

It's been a long time coming, but we finally have a premiere date for Better Call Saul Season 5.

The Breaking Bad prequel will return after a lengthy hiatus Sunday, February 23, at 10/9c, out of The Walking Dead

Even more promising for devoted fans is that a second episode will air the following night at 9/8c, where the show will settle for the rest of the season.

Better Call Saul Season 5 will consist of 10 episodes.

“Jimmy McGill’s decision to practice law as ‘Saul Goodman’ creates unexpected and profound waves of change for those in his orbit,” reads the official logline.

AMC also dropped a new teaser, but it does give viewers their first glimpse of Saul's business card.

Fun, right?

Better Call Saul Season 4 wrapped in October 2018, so fans have been eagerly awaiting the next chapter.

Softening the blow with the delay somewhat was the release of El Camino.

That movie was a sequel to the show that started it all: Breaking Bad.

It found Aaron Paul's Jesse Pinkman struggling in the aftermath of escaping captivity.

While it was a great entry to the franchise, it was not Better Call Saul.

There's been no confirmation of Better Call Saul Season 6, but Giancarlo Esposito told Collider earlier this year that the end is approaching.

"It's tricky with [co-creator Vince Gilligan]," the actor said.

"If you look at the Breaking Bad model, he said five years, five seasons, but it was really five and six" with the split final season.

As for Better Call Saul, "There will be six seasons," Esposito said. "It seems like that's the way, the comfortable way, to end this show."

What are your thoughts on this news? Are you excited for the show's return?

Do you want it to continue for a sixth season and beyond?
