Kiara Imani

I am a TV/Film writer with a passion for storytelling. I believe that storytelling is the foundation of human empathy and connection, and has the power to create meaningful change in the world. I am particularly fascinated with the intersection of media and culture, race, gender and politics. I also love all things Disney. I frequently recite Harry Potter lines in a British accent, just because. I am in an open relationship with Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon. I eat carne asada tacos at least once a week. My favorite television show is Charmed, and my favorite book is Matilda (okay... I might have a slight magic obsession). I'm also a sucker for a good Rom Com. The Notebook, anyone?! I graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law, and received my bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia in 2011 with a major in political science, specifically focusing on politics in the media.
