Blockbuster Season 1 Episode 5 Recap: King Of Queens

Kayla lists off dating apps for Timmy. Percy is excited to be Timmy's wingman as he finally moves on from his crush on Eliza.

Kayla is confused that Timmy and Percy are getting along again. They inform her that the eviction is water under the bridge. Kayla creates a dating profile for Timmy and tells him to "start swiping."

Timmy takes the phone but is immediately overwhelmed, as he's been out of the game for a while.

Eliza is in the break room talking on the phone with Aaron when Connie enters, eavesdropping. Once Eliza hangs up, Connie asks what's wrong. Eliza explains that she and Aaron have been doing date nights since they got back together, and it's been bringing up how different they are.

Eliza expresses that she'd love to go to a romantic French restaurant. Connie asks if Eliza has told Aaron any of this. She tells Eliza to drop subtle hints. Eliza video chats with Aaron in front of a new "French" section.

A customer tries to check out a DVD, but Carlos is distracted and lets her do it herself. Hannah checks on Carlos and he informs her that his ex-girlfriend got married (to herself), and he's looking at her photos on social media. The customer is still having trouble scanning her DVD.

Connie checks on Carlos. She says she can figure out his type, but Carlos insists he doesn't have a type.

Aaron suggests to Eliza that they check out the new French restaurant. She agrees.

Percy and Kayla argue over why he is hat Blockbuster if he has a party store to run.

Rene, the dog groomer, shows up, asking Timmy to join her for trivia at the Ripped Donkey. Kayla and Percy encourage Timmy to go, but Timmy declines, citing a busy evening of business. Rene says she'll never stop trying.

Eliza tells Connie that she and Aaron are going to the French restaurant. Timmy congratulates Eliza and informs her that he and Rene are going to trivia. Rene kisses Timmy on the cheek.

Later, Timmy worries about his date with Rene and considers canceling. Percy and Kayla convince him that a low-pressure date is just what he needs.

Carlos lists off the people he's attracted to. Connie and Hannah cannot figure out his type.

Eliza enters Timmy's office, where he's dressed up for his date — he wears a gold chain over a collared shirt. Eliza offers to take it off and gets very close to unclip it. Timmy says it's platonic with Rene, but he is looking for a serious long-term relationship, and she says he's proud of him.

Hannah, Carlos, and Connie tried to decide which of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles they would date. Timmy emerges, and they compliment him on his look. He asks what they're doing, and they tell him they are trying to figure out Carlos's type.

Timmy tells them that Leonardo is the hottest of the TMNT and leaves for his date.

At Petite Maison, Aaron and Eliza look over the menu. Aaron pronounces things wrong, but Eliza appreciates the effort. When the waiter arrives, she orders a glass of wine, and Aaron nervously orders a beer.

While Percy waxes philosophical, Kayla tries to cancel Timmy's other dates, which have all been lined up for tonight. Percy tells her not to cancel them. He's been missing Timmy since he only cares about Eliza or the store these days. Kayla and Percy head to the Donkey to watch the fireworks.

Carlos, Connie, and Hannah play "Tinder" on the customers (Carlos must surreptitiously swipe right or left on them, depending on how attractive he finds them). He "swipes left" on several but then "right" on the self-important, intelligent Quinn.

In the Ripped Donkey, Rene and Timmy discuss the trivia host and the answers. They submit their answer, and the host announces that their team is still in the lead.

A woman shows up, asking if he's Timmy, and tells him she's here for their date. Timmy is confused (as is Rene), but the woman shows him her phone. Kayla and Percy watch in enjoyment.

Quinn waxes on about the Maldives. Connie figures it out — Carlos likes self-absorbed people. After some introspection (and still listening to Quinn), Carlos realizes that they make be right.

Another woman has shown up at the Donkey, claiming to have a date with Timmy. Rene and the other woman ask Timmy what is going on. Timmy hears Percy and Layla giggling from a nearby booth.

Timmy realizes what's going on and apologizes to the other women. The two of them decide to stay. Rene tries to get them to leave, but they stay put. Timmy tries to keep things light and asks if they have read any good books lately. They all reply simultaneously: "Bossypants."

The three women start chatting amiably. Timmy goes to get drinks and sees Eliza at the bar. She tells him Aaron wanted to get a beer where the "mountain turns blue when it gets cold."

Eliza confesses that she just wanted Aaron to want to take her to the French restaurant. She asks Timmy about his quadruple date. He says it's going badly. She helps him wipe jalapeno margarita out of his eyeball.

Connie and Hannah check on Carlos in the breakroom. He lies on the couch, worried about the fact that he's attracted to narcissists.

Connie and Hannah encourage him, saying he probably just wanted to remain guarded, thus always went for people who only cared about themselves. Carlos proclaims he will keep his date with "abs man" tonight at Petite Maison and vows to talk about himself incessantly.

Kayla and Percy watch as Eliza and Timmy laugh together. Percy says that Kayla must enjoy hanging out with him. She says her father is stuck in the past and leaves.

Timmy asks Eliza why she and Aaron came to the Donkey when there was a bar next to Petite Maison, wondering if she was checking up on him. She says it was on their way home, and asks Timmy who he's taking home.

Aaron comes in. Timmy returns to his dates, giving them all their drinks, and they are already planning a girls' trip.

Aaron approaches Eliza. He says he is trying, and presents her with a box of her favorite chocolates. He asks if he did good, and she confirms that he did. They leave, but Eliza gazes at Timmy, who laughs with his three dates. Eliza and Aaron leave.
