Fox is cleaning house when it comes to its comedy series.
Earlier today, The Last Man on Earth was canceled after four seasons, and now the network has pulled the plug on Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Mick.
Unlike The Last Man on Earth's cancellation, these latest two are somewhat surprising.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine was down double-digits on Tuesday nights earlier in the season, but the ratings spiked when it moved back to Sunday nights.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 5 ultimately averaged 1.8 million viewers and a 0.7 rating among adults 18-49. Those figures represent erosion of 15 percent year-to-year in the demo.
As always, the show remained popular in delayed viewing, but the show not being owned by Fox cast a dark cloud over its future on the network.
Also, the potential Disney takeover of Fox and Thursday Night Football eating up some of the schedule could be attributed to the network's decision to part ways with it.
The series finale will air Sunday, May 20.

As for The Mick, it steadily declined from start to finish in its second season. It averaged 2.1 million viewers and a 0.7 rating in adults 18-49.
The Mick ended with a surprising twist that left the fate of one of the major characters up in the air. There's no word as of yet about whether either series will be shopped to other networks.
