It's a good day for fans of the NCIS franchise.
CBS has renewed for NCIS: Los Angeles (Season 11) and NCIS: New Orleans (Season 6) for additional seasons.
"Both shows have been key pillars to the CBS schedule for several years," said Kelly Kahl, President, CBS Entertainment.
"They offer heroic stories, big stars and have attracted a passionate, loyal fan base. We're excited to have Chris, LL, Scott and these terrific casts back to bring more terrific NCIS stories to viewers in the U.S. and around the world."

The news was a no-brainer for the Eye Network. NCIS: Los Angeles Season 10 is averaging 7.4 million total viewers and a 0.9 rating among adults 18-49 in live + same day.
NCIS: New Orleans Season 5 is averaging 7.4 million total viewers and a 0.8 rating among adults 18-49.

It was only a matter of time before both series were renewed. It means the NCIS trifecta will remain intact next season, and there rumors that the original series NCIS spun off from, JAG could be staging a comeback.
Both series join NCIS, Blue Bloods, FBI, Magnum P.I., Criminal Minds, God Friended Me, Young Sheldon, Mom, and The Neighborhood on the 2019-20 schedule on the network.

The future for Fam, Life in Pieces, Man With a Plan, Happy Together, Murphy Brown, Hawaii Five-0, SEAL Team, S.W.A.T., Bull, MacGyver, The Code, and Madam Secretary remains up in the air.

Of those shows, Hawaii Five-0 is the only lock to return. CBS will likely wait to see how its crop of pilots come in before making any firm decisions.
