Fans of Game of Thrones may soon be throwing it all the way back to the rise and fall of House Targaryen.
Deadline is reporting that a second prequel series is inching closer to a pilot order at HBO, meaning there could be two GOT related series at the pilot stage at the premium cabler.
Set, 300 years before the original series, it would chronicle the "beginning of the end for House Targaryen."
Oh yes, this new series will go down will fans of Daenerys Targaryen and her families wild history.
Original creator and GOT book author George R.R. Martin will write the script for the pilot alongside Ryan J. Condal of Colony fame.
Furthermore, the series would be based on the book Fire & Blood, which tells the history of the Targaryen family.

It makes sense to travel this route given that Daenerys was one of the most popular characters during the eight-season run of the original series.
It means fans will get to witness first-hand just how gnarly things got with her family back in the good old days.
HBO has yet to order the pilot, so we must stress that this is likely very early into development, so there's no guarantee this will ever make the air.

HBO has already ordered a pilot for a series that focuses on the Golden Age of Heroes.
Here's the official logline:
"The series chronicles the world’s descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour. And only one thing is for sure: from the horrifying secrets of Westeros’ history to the true origin of the white walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend… it’s not the story we think we know.”
That series comes from a pilot penned by Jane Goldman (X-Men: First Class) and has Naomi Watts in a lead role.
