Game of Thrones went there on Sunday night.
The Battle of Winterfell was the key focus of Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 3, but the biggest twist will likely be talked about for years to come.
If you watch Game of Thrones online, you know that Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) appeared out of the shadows when all hope was lost and slayed the Night King (Vladimír Furdík).
In doing so, she ended the battle between the living and the dead, with the living winning to fight another day.
It was a surprising twist, mostly because most fans thought Jon (Kit Harington) or Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) would be the ones to take the icy villain down.
Furdík has now opened up about the climax of "The Long Night," and he's most definitely on board with Arya Stark: Night King slayer.
"I think it was a good decision. Because nobody's waiting so much for [Arya to kill the Night King], not many people knew it would happen," he told the Daily Beast. .
"Maybe 10 minutes before… we see Jon Snow and other actors, but we don't know where [Arya] is. Maybe somebody can predict it, but I think it was a good decision."

"Who else can kill him and how? It was the best, I think."
The actor makes some great points. Daenerys tried to kill the Night King by dousing in him some dragon fire. Before the episode aired, many thought dragon fire would be successful.
Unfortunately, that was not the case.
Heck, even Jon tried to take a stab at the Night King before his final bow, but the amount of wights outnumbered him as a result of the villain reanimating the fallen.
Many fans took issue with Jon during the battle, complaining that he was useless in the fight.
But some other fans claim to have found proof that Jon knew what Arya was about to do.

A reddit user named u/Applesoapp said the following:
“Jon screamed at the undead dragon to distract it so Arya can run past and kill the Night King. The undead dragon was protecting the entrance to the Godswood. Watch it again, you can actually hear him scream ‘GOOOOO – GO – GO.’ Ten seconds later…you can see the hair of a White Walker flying up when Arya sprints past the group of White Walkers. Jon once again was ready to sacrifice himself to kill the Night King.”
If you rewatch the scene with that context, it certainly makes a lot more sense.
Alas, we'll have to watch Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 4 to find out if we get any updates on the matter.
