Jim and Harvey track down the clues trying to find motive and discover their culprit is Dr. Gerald Crane.
Gerald is creating a mix that will allow him to feel no fear. He is haunted by his wife's death after she burned in a fire.
He also is conducting a procedure on his son, Jonathan Crane.
Jim and Harvey track down Gerald, but before he is killed, Gerald injects his son. Unfortunately, it exacerbates his fear levels and he is forever in fear of the scarecrow.
Fish makes moves in her new prison location to try and become leader.
Oswald has a part for his new club.
Carmine speaks with Sal about leaving Oswald alone.
Leslie begins her new job as medical examiner, which causes some concern for Jim.
Bruce goes on a hike alone, injuries himself, but manages to see the sunset with Alfred.
