From the stereotypical ones with glasses to the ones who are just a little nerdy on the inside, some of our favorite TV characters are the ones who are total geeks.
Here are 13 of those geeks we adore so much, we’d love to share a drink with them.
Liz Lemon (30 Rock) She can be awkward, that’s for sure, but can you imagine anyone more fun to hang out and have a cocktail with than 30 Rock’s Liz Lemon?
(Ali Goldstein/NBC) Sheldon Cooper (The Big Bang Theory) Listen, Sheldon Cooper is a difficult guy, so it might not be that fun to hang out with him in general. But when he starts drinking? Who wouldn’t want to be around for that?
(CBS/WBEI/Michael Yarish) Chuck Bartowski (Chuck) If there’s such a thing as a cool geek (and come on, there totally is) then Chuck Bartowski, played by Zachary Levi, fits the bill. We’d definitely love to share a drink with him some time.
Jessica Day (New Girl) Jess definitely knows how to embrace her inner-geek, and she does so in style. She isn’t afraid to be silly or say what’s on her mind, and she’s definitely someone who would be fun to spend time with.
(Isabella Vosmikova/FOX) Jack Hodgins (Bones) Picture it. Hanging out at the Founding Fathers and sharing conspiracy theories with Jack Hodgins would be a blast. As long he avoids talking about bugs and slime, that is.
Ross Geller (Friends) You could learn a lot from a conversation with Ross Geller, especially if you’re interested in Dinosaurs. Just don’t give him TOO much to drink, and don’t let him near a keyboard, okay?
Willow Rosenberg (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) Willow got a lot cooler once she went to college, and for a bit, she got a lot darker too. Still, she’s always been a geek at heart. Add to that her witchcraft skills, witty remarks, and her sense of loyalty, and we’d never pass up a chance to share a drink with her.
(Unavailable) Carlton Banks (The Fresh Prince of Bel Air) Carlton Banks is one of the most beloved geeks of the 90s, and he’s one we’d totally love to have a beer with. If anything, it would just be a blast to get Carlton to do his classic dance.
Alex Dunphy (Modern Family) Modern Family’s Alex Dunphy has always been a geek, but thanks to some family influence, she’s learned how to have a good time too.
Walter O’Brien (Scorpion) Okay, so he may not always be very good in social situations, but Scorpion’s Walter O’Brien is a genuis we’d love to sit back and chat with over a cocktail or ten.
Rory Gilmore (Gilmore Girls) We could definitely spend an entire night drinking and chatting about books with Rory Gilmore. After all, she’s read nearly all of them.
Felicity Smoak (Arrow) Not only is Arrow’s Felicity Smoak brilliant and tech-saavy, but she knows how to be a part of a team and, you know, help fight the bad guys.
(The CW) Dinesh Chugtai (Silicon Valley) Really, it would be pretty interesting to have drinks with any of the guys from Silicon Valley, but imagine how entertaining it would be to have a chat with Dinesh!
