Love triangles can be tricky. In fact, more often that not, viewers are turned off by the prospect of the use of them on their favorite show.
Oddly enough, the worst love triangles are the ones in which you love both relationships. Unless all three of them end up together, you’re probably going to be unhappy no matter what.

When it comes to this dilemma, sometimes the audience is split fifty-fifty, and other times we just can’t bare to see either love interest get hurt.
We’ve created a list below of 13 love triangles that left us genuinly torn.
June, Nick, and Luke – The Handmaid’s Tale June and Nick have been through so much together and have continued to grow on us throughout the series. But Luke is June’s husband and every flashback makes us love them more. There’s really no right or wrong choice.
Jane, Michael, and Rafael – Jane the Virgin Everyone is split when it comes to Jane’s love life. Jane picked Michael once, but after his death, she crafted a beautiful life with Rafael. Now that Michael is back from the dead, viewers are split more than ever.
Jane, Ben, and Ryan – The Bold Type Jane had chemistry with both of her love interests. Pinstripe may have understood Jane on a deeper level, but there was something about Ben’s kind-hearted nature that made us root for him as well.
Buffy, Angel, and Spike – Buffy the Vampire Slayer To this day, there are still mixed opinions about who Buffy should have ended up with. Even though she ultimately ended up with no one, most fans wanted her to choose one of her vampire love interests.
Sabrina, Harvey, and Nick – Chilling Adventures of Sabrina While most people seemed to love Harvey at the beginning of the series, ever since the release of part two fans have been hardcore shipping Sabrina and Nick. Will the tables turn again?
Nancy, Steve, and Jonathan – Stranger Things We were originally on Team Jonathan, but then Steve underwent some serious character development and now we have no idea where we stand.
DJ, Matt, and Steve – Fuller House Steve may have been DJ’s first love, but Matt was an amazing person who treated DJ wonderfully. It was hard to figure out if we were just holding onto nostalgia by shipping DJ and Steve, or if he really was the best option for her.
Veronica, Archie, and Reggie – Riverdale We’re not really torn on this one, but the audience still is. We’re Team Veggie all the way, but viewers are seemingly split when it comes to Veronica’s love life.
Wil, Amberle, and Eretria – The Shannara Chronicles We wanted Wil to be with Amberle, but we wanted Amberle to be with Eretria, but we wanted Eretria to be with Wil. Putting all three of them together could have easily solved our dilemma.
Elena, Stefan, and Damon – The Vampire Diaries Elena’s love life was a hot topic when The Vampire Diaries was airing and it’s still one to this day. While Elena did end up with Damon, there’s still a large majority of people who believe she was meant to grow old with her original love.
Big, Carrie, and Aidan – Sex and the City Big and Carrie may have been the main couple of the series, but there are some people who would disagree. Aidan was such a nice guy that it was hard not to want him to find happiness.
Phoebe, Mike, and David – Friends Most Friends fans can collectively agree that Phoebe belonged with Mike. But, David was a good guy and he and Phoebe were adorable together. We wanted Phoebe to choose Mike, but we also didn’t want to see David’s heart get broken.
Clarke, Lexa, and Bellamy – The 100 This may not have been an official love triangle as Bellamy and Clarke still aren’t together on the show, but there’s no doubt that fans were completely divided on who Clarke should end up with.
