Gemma Teller (Katey Sagal)
Bang, bang.. she’s dead. Jax avenged the murder of his wife by shooting his mother in the back of the head on the show’s penultimate episode.
Bobby Munson (Mark Boone Junior)
Loyal to SAMCRO to the very end, Bobby gave his all for the club, including an eye and a thumb. We’d hoped for better for him but a bullet to the head put him out of his misery.
Wayne Unser (Dayton Callie)
In the end, Unser had nothing left but to give his life to try and save Gemma. Even that wasn’t enough to save her.
Jury White (Michael Shamus Wiles)
The President of the Indian Hills charter took a bullet from Jax for being a suspected rat but was it really Jury or someone else who sold SAMCRO out to the Chinese?
Opie Winston (Ryan Hurst)
Opie made the ultimate sacrifice to save Jax. He was beaten to death in prison, while Jax and the club watched. RIP Opie. You were the heart of SAMCRO. We’ll never forget you.

When Clay thought Opie was a rat, he sent Tig to take care of it. Unfortunately, Tig ended up killing Opie’s wife Donna instead. It was horribly tragic and reverberated through SAMCRO for seasons to come.
Piney Winston (William Lucking)
He was one of the SAMCRO originals, so maybe it was horribly disconcerting that another original member took him out. Clay shot and killed Piney to cover up his own secrets, then did everything he could to blame a rival gang for the job.
Otto (Kurt Sutter)
No one can say Kurt Sutter isn’t an equal opportunity character killer. He even wrote murdered his own character when Otto was killed in prison in season six.
Half-Sack (Johnny Lewis)
Half-Sack was stabbed to death being a hero as he tried to protect Tara and stop Weston from stealing Abel. Perhaps even more disturbing was that the actor himself died not long after asking to be let go from the show.
Clay Morrow (Ron Perlman)
Perhaps it was inevitable that Jax would kill his step-father but we never thought he’d do it in front of Gemma and Tara.
A.J. Weston (Henry Rollins)
We knew Weston’s days were numbered after he participated in gang raping Gemma. It was only a matter of time before Jax took the white supremacist out in the season 2 finale.
Josh Kohn (Jay Karnes)
No one really shed any tears when Tara shot her crazy ex and then Jax ended him for good. But Jax and Tara having sex in front of his corpse was what made the whole thing a lot more memorable.

Jimmy O’Phelan (Titus Welliver)
As if stealing Chibs wife, banishing the man from Ireland and giving him that nasty scar weren’t enough, Jimmy then stole Jax’s son Abel. It gave Chibs all the reason he needed to carve up the IRA leader’s face and stab him to death.
Lee Toric (Donal Logue)
When Otto took out the crazy US Marshal while in jail, our favorite part was when Lee said, “I didn’t even see that coming” just before he died.
Herman Kozik – (Kenny Johnson)
It wasn’t a gun or a knife but a land mine that took out Kozik. But portrayer Kenny Johnson should be used to brutal death scenes as his character Lem on The Shield was killed when his friend dropped a grenade in his lap.
Tara Knowles Teller (Maggie Siff)
This one still rattles us. After all she did to get her boys away from the violence that permeates the club, Tara was brutally murdered by her mother-in-law Gemma who stabbed her to death with a carving fork after mistakenly believing Tara ratted out her son. Jax losing the love of his life in such a violent fashion will certainly cause a ripple effect that will last until the series ends.
Juan Carlos (Juice) Ortiz (Theo Rossi)
Poor Juice. He went through hell and back for his club. In the end, we’re glad he got the moment to enjoy his pie.
