Chilling Adventures of Sabrina had a strong premiere, with plenty of characters and connections that allowed the show to grow. It was with these characters that the show quietly managed to prove that women should always conquer, even when the patriarchy wants to tear into that.
But even beyond that, the empowerment from the show also comes from the way that friendship plays into things or the way that emotion is allowed to be experienced by everyone.

The potential for more is always there for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, with every new episode proving that the bar can be set so much higher. The way that Sabrina first teamed up with the Weird Sisters was also proof that nothing is ever off the table, and that you can gather strength from the most unexpected of places.
Chilling Adventures of Progress
Character development, and even just giving a character more time to be explored in the viewer’s eye, that provides value that every show benefits from. Prudence is a great example of how Chilling Adventures of Sabrina utilizes development to give more power to the women on the show, as well as to those fans that love them.
Chilling Adventures of Possibilities
There is no way to describe the way that the finale ended, except full of questions and possibilities. The promise of more to come, specifically aimed at these witches taking control of their circumstances, that is a different take on empowering that the show is winning with.
Chilling Adventures of Eternal Sacrifices
Madam Satan may have had all the wrong intentions in this speech to Sabrina, but there is an underlying message of power for all the girls watching. You can control the situation, although it always always helps to have all the facts first.
Chilling Adventures of Dramatic Life Changes
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Season 1 Episode 10 ended with Zelda deciding to rescue a child and raise it with her sister, only for Hilda to announce that she wants to be more independent outside of their relationship. While that scene hurt, it gave both characters the push they needed to grow as individuals which is important for them.
Chilling Adventures of Strength
The key to Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is the friendships, specifically Sabrina and Roz and Susie altogether. They support one another and they make sure that they all know their value. There’s nothing as empowering as these portions of the season.
Chilling Adventures of the Feminist Agenda
Madam Satan is just the feminist agenda in disguise, and I’m not sorry about that at all.
Chilling Adventures of Power
Signing your name away to the devil isn’t exactly powerful on paper, and yet Prudence and the Weird Sisters prove time and time again that it won’t stop them. They control their domain and they prove that women can always find a way to wield power, even if it isn’t always with the best of intentions.
Chilling Adventures of Crushing the Patriarchy
In my Chilling Adventures of Sabrina reviews, I’ve continuously highlighted the way the show has their lead crushing the patriarchy’s attempt to push her down. The Baptism is a big portion of that because it is Sabrina literally being yanked back to the forceful ceremony that makes her sign herself away, only for her to escape all dirty but empowered by her ability to choose her future.
Chilling Adventures of Powerful Threats
Madam Satan makes us wish we could threaten our enemies the way that she does. Holding your ground is definitely the definition of empowering to me.

An interesting twist of empowerment comes from the conversation of faith, the center of Sabrina and Prudence’s conflict. The show treats it very well, giving a platform to both characters but more importantly possibly relating it back to the real world.

Hilda standing up for Susie was a powerful reminder that you have an ally when you least expect it. Even though these two didn’t share scenes together before, there was no doubt that Hilda would be there for Susie and who doesn’t love that?

Madam Satan always says it like it is, and her constant reminders that women deserve to be in charge is a wonderful reflection of the goal of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
Chilling Adventures of Toxic Masculinity (or lack thereof)
Letting boys just be soft and feel emotions is still rare in many TV shows, which makes Harvey’s transition throughout the first season that much more impactful.
Chilling Adventures of Prudence
None of us deserve Prudence, but we are incredibly lucky to have her. The strength that she cares with her and the courage that she has is a core of what makes Chilling Adventures of Sabrina so empowering.

Women supporting women, but even just people supporting each other is such an important foundation for a show.
