There are even moments where a relationship is so good, the audience starts to wonder who the primary couple of the show really is.

Alex and Maggie – Supergirl
Alex and Maggie were the best couple on Supergirl. Despite calling off their engagement, we’ve yet to find a relationship on the show that can compare to them.
Michael and Maria – Roswell
Michael and Maria had it all. Their relationship progression felt natural and they were the best couple on Roswell, no comparison.
Garrett and Dina – Superstore
Let’s be real, it would be extremely hard to overshadow Jonah and Amy. They’ve earned their place as Superstore’s primary romance. But the unlikely romance between Garrett and Dina was surprisingly successful. In fact, it’s impossible not to root for them to just get together already.
Jason and Janet – The Good Place
Jason and Janet was a pairing we didn’t see coming. Especially considering that Janet is technically a robot. But Janet started developing emotions of her own and now we’re not really sure what she is. All we do know is that these two belong together.
Emily and Sylvia – The Handmaid’s Tale
While we haven’t gotten to see much of Emily and Sylvia’s marriage, we love everything about them. They both deserve better than what happened to them.
Thea and Roy – Arrow
Thea and Roy surpass Oliver and Felicity no question. They are a pure and amazing couple and their chemistry has always been off the charts.
Sheldon and Amy – The Big Bang Theory
Penny and Leonard very quickly got boring and repetitive. Thankfully, we had Sheldon and Amy to keep us on our toes.
Monty and Harper – The 100
Monty and Harper were the purest relationship on The 100. They were better than every romance combined and were probably one of the only pairings that didn’t try to kill each other at some point.
Dean and Jo – Supernatural
Dean and Jo deserved more time. Their romance was a minor part of the series and never really had a chance, but they will always be one of Supernatural’s biggest “what ifs?”
Stiles and Lydia – Teen Wolf
The main romance of the show was originally between Scott and Allison. But Stiles and Lydia quickly became a fan favorite and one of the best parts of Teen Wolf. They grew extremely close over the series’ six seasons and 6A was basically a love letter to Stydia and their fans.
Nathan and Haley – One Tree Hill
You may argue that Nathan and Haley were One Tree Hill’s main couple, but really it was intended to be Lucas and Peyton. Both couples were cute, but Naley was just way cuter.
Phoebe and Mike – Friends
We still wish Mike would’ve been introduced in Friends far earlier than he was. He was an amazing character that really brought something special to the table. But nonetheless, his relationship with Phoebe was all kinds of adorable and ten times better than Ross and Rachels’.
Cece and Schmidt – New Girl
At the beginning of New Girl this pairing just seemed like Schmidt’s hollow pipe dream played up for laughs. However, it ended up becoming a beautiful and pure love story between the main couple’s best friends. These two definitely exceeded all our expectations.
April and Andy – Parks and Recreation
April and Andy got together rather quickly. It took a few seasons for them to become a couple, but as soon as they did they got married immediately after. A lot of Parks and Rec’s best scenes involve April and Andy being adorable idiots together and the series wouldn’t be nearly as good without them.
Ruby and Stan – Good Girls
Ruby and Stan are relationship goals. They may not have the same wild “will they/won’t they” chemistry that Beth and Rio have, but they are everything we could ever want marriage to be.
Angela and Hodgins – Bones
Angela and Hodgins were perfect for each other. They didn’t have as much build up as Booth and Brennan, but they were still an amazing couple.
Helen and Sarge – Siren
The connection between Helen and Sarge came as a bit of a surprise. While the two aren’t officially together and Sarge’s fate may not be good, every moment they shared together was a cuteness overload.
Alice and FP – Riverdale
Is it weird that Betty and Jughead’s parents is a way better pairing than them? FP and Alice are one of the most exciting parts of Riverdale and they are just meant to be.
Raymond and Kevin – Brooklyn Nine-Nine
No one can ever beat out Jake and Amy. They’re hands down the best and healthiest relationship in television history. But the longer Brooklyn Nine-Nine has gone on, the more we’ve gotten to experience just how amazing and hilarious Raymond and Kevin’s marriage is.
