Meredith’s Other Sister – Grey’s Anatomy
Being a soapy drama, Grey’s Anatomy has thrown its fair share of soapy plots our way over the years. With Meredith’s father remarrying and having new children in Lexie and Molly, we thought that was where Meredith’s list of siblings ended. Then Maggie appeared in the picture, and it emerged that she was the daughter of Ellis who she gave up in 1983. Yikes.
The Plane Crash – Grey’s Anatomy
The plane crash was one of the wildest storylines out there. Just when we thought everything was going to be okay, Lexie and Mark died. Like, we get that Shonda likes twists, but that was just sick and hit us right in the feels.
Derek’s Death – Grey’s Anatomy
Just when we thought Derek was out of the woods after helping people in a crash on the side of the road, he gets involved in a car crash himself. Like, Shonda, WTF? The biggest kicker about it has got to be that he died at the hands of incompetent doctors. What a horrible way to go for one of the most talented doctors out there.
George Gets Hit By a Bus – Grey’s Anatomy
When George announced he was leaving the hospital to join the military, we could not help but cackle. It was just so out there, and totally not something George would do. Anyway, it was happening and he got hit by a bus. In fact, he was so badly beaten up that nobody could figure out who the eff he was.
Owen’s Sister Is Alive – Grey’s Anatomy
Just when we were ready to move on from Owen looking for his sister, she was miraculously found. We spent so long thinking she was a goner and with Abigail Spencer taking over the role from Bridget Reagan, something tells us it will not be the real Megan. This is Grey’s Anatomy, you guys!
Meredith Dies – Grey’s Anatomy
Meredith dying and coming back to life was one of the most nail-biting moments of the entire series. Ellen Pompeo deserved to get multiple awards for it, and we deserved multiple bottles of wine for the sheer drama of it all.
Stephanie’s Exit Storyline – Grey’s Anatomy
Stephanie was attacked in the hospital and tried to make a getaway with a young girl. But then the hospital literally went kaboom thanks to a gas canister and a deranged person. We definitely gulped the wine every second as we questioned whether she was going to pull through.
Olivia Is Having an Affair With The President – Scandal
When Scandal first debuted, we had no idea it was going to become one of the craziest shows on television. One of the biggest earlier twists was that Olivia was having an affair with the President of the United States.
Election Rigging – Scandal
One of the most ludicrous but entertaining developments was when Hollis, Olivia, Cyrus, Mellie and Verna thought it would be a good idea to choose a narrative for the U.S. and that involved them all rigging the election for Fitz to win.
Fitz Is Shot – Scandal
Just when it seemed like the show was hitting a lull, Fitz was shot, and suddenly, the show was being talked about across the world. Thankfully, he survived.
Fitz Kills Verna – Scandal
Just when people thought they knew Fitz, he pulled the rug from under us and murdered Verna. She was the woman who was behind the assassination. So, karma? But still, Fitz is a killer, you guys!
Olivia’s Father Is a Villain – Scandal
The mother of all reveals came when we found out that Rowan aka the scary good from B613 was Olivia’s father. This show. We’re surprised there is not, like, a shortage of wine.
Mama Pope Is a Terrorist – Scandal
Just when we thought we knew everything there is to know about Olivia’s family, we found out that Mama Pope was a terrorist. Olivia figured that little nugget of truth out after sending her on a plane to freedom.
Jerry Dies – Scandal
Long before he broke hearts as Clay on 13 Reasons Why, Dylan Minnette played Jerry on Scandal. He was murdered thanks to Rowan Pope and could not deal with it.
Olivia Is Pregnant – Scandal
Things were going swimmingly for Fitz and Olivia. Olivia was secretly miserable, and viewers found out she was pregnant when she made a visit to the hospital and she got an abortion. She later dumped Fitz.
Olivia Kills Andrew – Scandal
Andrew realized that you don’t cross Olivia Pope and get away with it. Olivia went crazy and swung a chair at him. It was, like, the most random plot point ever, but it also changed Olivia forever.
Is Huck Dead? – Scandal
Just when Huck thought he found the woman of his dreams, she turned a gun on him and shot him. She then took his body in the trunk of her car and pushed it into the water. What made it tenser was that the next episode did not reveal his fate.
Liz North Is Killed – Scandal
Liz North was seemingly getting away with being a villain, but she did not bank on one of the people she was working with to brutally club her to death to prove to Mellie they were not to be messed with.
Wes Is Under The Sheet! – How to Get Away With Murder
Just when it seemed like Wes was in the clear, we got the reveal that he was the one under the sheet and was dead. He was one of the biggest characters, so it was downright surprising.
Annalise Is Arrested – How to Get Away With Murder
Annalise found herself in the firing line because her house went up in flames and a lot of things from her past came to the forefront. Watching the villains build a case against her was so stressful.
Laurel’s Dad Had Wes Killed – How To Get Away Wih Murder
We were trying to piece together what really happened that led to the death of Wes. We did not expect Laurel’s dad to pay a face from Laurel’s past to do the deed. Oh, the drama.
Rebecca Is Killed – How to Get Away With Murder
Bonnie murdered Rebecca in order to keep her quiet because she knew too much. It was a crazy development, and one we will never forget. It changed Bonnie forever.
