Michael Schur has executive produced, written for, directed, and created shows like The Office, Parks and Recreation, The Good Place, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
Each and every one of these shows have entertained us, and it is very possible that you have caught a familiar face then and again.

The reason for that is that Michael Schur likes to include some actors over and over again in his projects, which then turns into a fun game of trying to find them all.
This slideshow contains some of the many actors that have visited our favorite shows, in roles that you remember and maybe some that you don’t.
Which of these actors did you know crossed over in the Schur shows and which did you not notice until now?
Adam Scott
Adam Scott is best known for playing Ben Wyatt on Parks and Recreation. But he has also played Trevor on The Good Place, as well as starred in a show with Craig Robinson which was run by another The Office alum, Paul Lieberstein.
Kristen Bell
Kristen Bell is obviously the lead on The Good Place, but she also appeared briefly on Parks and Recreation as Ingrid de Forest.
Andy Samberg
Now Andy Samberg is leading Brooklyn Nine-Nine as the hilarious Jake Peralta. Before, he appeared on Parks and Recreation as Carl Lorthner, a park ranger that spoke at a very high volume.
Marc Evan Jackson
We all love Marc Evan Jackson as Kevin, Holt’s husband and one half of the cutest couple in the world. Marc Evan Jackson though is a triple threat, appearing on Parks and Recreation as a lawyer and on The Good Place as stern Shawn.
Jason Mantzoukas
Jason Mantzoukas is known for his unique characters, so it is almost hard to guess which appearance you know best. He was the almost terrifying Dennis Feinstein on Parks and Recreation, the unpredictable Adrian Pimento on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and the fun Derek Hoffstetler on The Good Place.
Maribeth Monroe
Maribeth Monroe absolutely kills it as Mindy St. Claire on The Good Place, but she also pulled double duty as Elise Yarktin on Parks and Recreation.
Chelsea Peretti
Chelsea Peretti imbodies Gina on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, there is no way to prepare for the fact that she is leaving the show soon. An entertaining trip down memory lane though presents her as the reporter named Zelda on Parks and Recreation.
Ed Helms
There would be no Andy from The Office if it wasn’t for Ed Helms. And if you are looking to see him in another hilarious role, Brooklyn Nine-Nine cast him as Jack Danger, a post office worker that was a thorn in Jake’s side.
Oscar Nunez
Oscar Nunez was the legendary Oscar Martinez from The Office. But he was also in a blink and you will miss it moment on Brooklyn Nine-Nine as the doctor that tells Holt and Jake that they have the mumps.
Kate Flannery
Another friendly face is Meredith from The Office, who is played by Kate Flannery. The actress also took on the role of “Mean” Marge on Brooklyn Nine-Nine for one episode.
Craig Robinson
Craig Robinson was Darryl on The Office and then Doug Judy on Brooklyn Nine-Nine every so often. He then had a funny crossover with Adam Scott from Parks and Recreation, as they led the show Ghosted which was run by Paul Lieberstein who played Toby on The Office.
Nick Offerman
There would be no Ron Swanson on Parks and Rec if Nick Offerman didn’t play him so iconically. So if you want to see what else he can do in the Schur universe, you might recognize him as Holt’s ex-boyfriend named Frederick from Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
Jim O’Heir
Jim O’Heir may be Jerry from Parks and Recreation, but he has also played Sheriff Reynolds when Jake and Holt went undercover in Florida from Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
Rashida Jones
Rashida Jones left an impression as Karen on The Office, only to then go on and steal our hearts as Ann from Parks and Recreation.
Maya Rudolph
Maya Rudolph has been U.S. Marshal Karen Haas on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and more notably Judge “Gen” Hydrogen from The Good Place.
Jenny Slate
Jenny Slate was the amazing Mona-Lisa Saperstein on Parks and Recreation, and then she had a great little cameo as Bianca on Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
Nick Kroll
Nick Kroll was Agent Kendrick for a quick second on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and then he was in the familiar role of The Douche on Parks and Recreation.
Kathryn Hahn
Kathryn Hahn was the unforgettable Jennifer Barkley on Parks and Recreation and then came back to become Charles’ ex Eleanor Horstweil on Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
Patton Oswalt
Patton Oswalt was Garth Blundon on Parks and Recreation, but he was also the always fun Fire Marshall Boone from Brooklyn NIne-Nine.
Jorma Taccone
Jorma Taccone played Roscoe Santangelo on Parks and Recreation and then went on to cameo on Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Taylor. Fun Fact: Jorma Taccone makes up one-third of The Lonely Island, alongside Adam Samberg.
Fred Armisen
Fred Armisen is our favorite human ever as Mlep(clay)nos on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, then Raul on Parks and Recreation which wasn’t as favorable for us.
Bradley Whitford
Bradley Whitford was Jake’s father on Brooklyn Nine-Nine and the boat-loving Councilman Pillner from Parks and Recreation.
Jama Williamson
For me, Jama Williamson was most familiar as Wendy from Parks and Recreation. And yet she continues to appear as Rachel on Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Val on The Good Place.
Dax Shepard
Dax Shepard was Hank Muntak on Parks and Recreation before appearing as Chet on The Good Place. Fun Facts include that Dax Shepard is married to The Good Place lead Kristen Bell, and he appeared on Ghosted which has plenty of Parks and Rec and The Office alums.
Mike O’Malley
Mike O’Malley was the not so nice van rental guy named Bill on Parks and Recreation and then was The Doorman on The Good Place.
Brent Briscoe
Brent Briscoe appeared as JJ of JJ’s Diner on Parks and Recreation. He followed it up with Brooklyn Nine-Nine where he guest starred as Matthew Langdon.
Colton Dunn
Colton Dunn was Brett on Parks and Recreation. Now he stars as Garrett on Superstore, a show that isn’t created by Michael Schur but deserves to be appreciated because of how much it connects with the Schur universe. Superstore is created by Justin Spitzer, who also has a history as a co-executive producer on The Office. The show is a black comedy that will feel entertaining and relatable to anyone who has worked a retail job, almost too real.
