Let the killing commence.
Scream is arguably one of the most anticipated new shows of the summer. Who doesn’t love a murder mystery to tide us over while waiting for the fall?
Scream managed to reinvent the rules when it came to horror movies, will it be able to emulate that success for TV?
Let’s get one thing straight: MTV has searched high and low for this cast and they are all HOT. Have a look through these pictures of the victims cast.
Bex Taylor-Klaus – Audrey Jensen
Bex Taylor-Klaus has appeared in shows such as Arrow and The Killing. Audrey is a strong-minded and fearless character. The fact that she is a filmmaker makes me somewhat optimistic that she will survive all the way to the end in order to record the reactions of her peers when the killings kick off. She is also figuring out her sexuality and it looks like some cyber-bullying will kick her storyline off.

Amadeus Serafini – Keiran Wilcox
Amadeus might be a newcomer to the acting game, but his character is also a new character in town. Described as a loner, he has no intentions of joining the popular crowd, which immediately raises questions about him. He does look like he could be the most prominent male lead, but remember how Eye Candy shocked us by killing the male lead off in the pilot? If and when he dies, expect lots of blood.

Carlson Young – Brooke Maddox
Carlson has appeared in many hit shows in the past, but this will be the role to propel her to a household name. Brooke is playing the mean girl that will take over after Bella Thorne’s Nina is murdered. Her best friends are her family. Her parents are pretty much MIA, leaving her to navigate and do as she wishes. In the trailer it looks like she will be killed off in similar fashion to Rose McGowan’s character. She should probably steer clear of garage doors until the killer is found.

John Karna – Noah Foster
Karna has appeared in Modern Family and Law & Order: SVU, but his role as Noah is a complete 180 from what he’s played in the past. Given that MTV’s description of the character states that he is obsessed with horror movies and true crime documentaries, you can rule him out as a killer right about now. He is a nerd and also hacks into things he shouldn’t, so expect him to hack away until he is whacked while watching a horror movie. Fitting, right?

Willa Fitzgerald – Emma Duval
Fitzgerald is no stranger to working in the TV industry. Her character, Emma looks like one of the most down to earth characters on the show. She has been cited as the peacemaker in her group. Her father walked out on her and her mother, so she has been trying to return to normal. She is easily manipulated and the killer will take full advantage of this. Expecting her to be a survivor at this stage would be a little premature, so let’s just say that the killer is going to be someone really close to her and she’ll pay the price for getting in too deep with them.

Connor Weil – Will Belmont
Will is Emma’s charming boyfriend, but he has let her down on many occasions and it looks like the new kid on the block might poach Emma from his grasp, but does this mean he is killer material? Anything is possible in a murder mystery, so let’s just say it’d be a little obvious if he was the killer, but if told with the correct amount of twisted happenings, he could be a worthy one!

Ghostface
The change in the mask has had negative comments swirling left, right and center, but the show absolutely needs to establish an identity of its own away from the movie series, so this was needed. The added bonus of the mask being tied to the mythology of the show leaves us with a lot questions. Who can’t wait for the killing to kick off?!
