No one tells Margo what to do, and the deeper she gets into Fillorian culture, the more she’s over the misogynistic traditions that belong in the Dark Ages. We can’t say we blame her.

When the Brakebills students were going after The Beast in Season 1, Margo was very quick to point out that things would be much simpler if they could use a gun. In fact, she went beyond just a pitch she actually brought a gun on their trip.

In Season 4, a book called The Binder would only show its text if it had blood. Margo’s solution was a bloody tampon. When Penny seemed rattled by the idea of menstrual blood, Margo came back with the perfect one-liner to shut him up.

Creating the New Desert Order
“Welcome to the new desert order, it’s gonna suck for you!” Margo says at the end of The Magicians Season 4 Episode 10, “All That Hard, Glossy Armor.” After a truly transformative character episode, Margo isn’t putting up with anything. She’s freed some so-called demons after finding out their true nature and upset the power balance. But that’s all in a day’s work for this badass.

Margo has always had a hard armor to her, and she’s very self-aware of what she projects to the world. Her simple statement about how she and Eliot are typically the most snobby people in the room reflects that, and yet also makes her a little more relatable.

When Fillory had its first election for High King and Eliot wanted to run alone since he thought there should be a pair of balls attached, Margo was not happy. Margo listed a host of issues commonly found of Earth just to illustrate how far Fillory had to go.

Margo is quite a quick thinker when she has to be. Stealing fairy eggs was a new level of devious during The Magicians Season 3.
Calling Her Husband a Psychotic Fetus
Fillory just loves to throw a wrench into your plans. Margo wasn’t sold on being in an arranged marriage, but she was less sold when her betrothed was killed and his younger brother stepped in. She was even less enthused by his eagerness to consummate their marriage. Calling him a psychotic fetus may have seemed strong, but there were worse words she could have used.
When She Was Done with the Fairies
Margo was not having it when it came to the fairy queen, and who can blame her. In this moment she decides that she’s flat out done with fairies and their games, and the moniker of “tinkerbitch” is just so fitting.
