Peggy goes out of town leaving Jim with Mike and Molly; she thinks it will be good practice for when they have kids. As it turns out, Mike isn’t sure he wants kids. This clashes with Molly who definitely wants a family. Their parenting abilities are called into question when Jim falls ill and needs to be rushed to the vet. They discover he swallowed one of Molly’s tampons and needs to have surgery. While waiting for the little dog, Mike confesses that Peggy’s poor job as a mom makes him worry that he won’t be a good dad. Molly comforts him, but they don’t make a decision about kids.
Jim recovers well, but Peggy is still livid when she finds out what happened. She plans to use the event as a way to guilt trip Molly.
