Power Star Reacts to Shock Final Season Twist

Power is currently airing its sixth and final season on Starz.

Power Season 6 has been firing from all cylinders, with stunning twists that have given fans a lot to talk about.

Power Season 6 Episode 8, which aired Sunday, featured another stunning death as Keisha Grant (La La Anthony) was gunned down by her best friend, Tasha St. Patrick (Naturi Naughton).

While most fans called Keisha's death coming, the biggest shocker was that Tasha was the one who ended her life.

If you watch Power online, you know that Keisha has made a string of bizarre moves of late. She's found herself getting increasingly caught up in Tommy's drug business.

"I wanted to make sure I went out with a bang, and make it something people talk about," actress La La Anthony told TV Guide of her last-ever scene.

"Keisha's intention had been to pick up Cash from practice and keep trucking, or at least be gone for a while."

"She just wanted to be completely gone from the situation, but [Tasha's] mentality was that it was either [Keisha] or me," she continued.

"It is sad. People say to me, 'I wish they were still friends,' but I see [falling outs] happen all the time with friends, whether it's money or guys, people who have been friends for a long time don't even speak to each other any more."

Anthony also shared that she could tell that the end was approaching for the character, saying it came from LaKeisha "wanting to be this ride-or-die girl for Tommy and not understanding what that meant."

"I felt like something was going to happen to her when I first saw the script, but I didn't know exactly," she added.

"She was doing too much. Like, you have a son to raise, a successful weave shop. There was no reason to be dealing with the stuff you were dealing with."
