Marcel: Megan?
Nat: You two know each other?
Marcel: We've crossed paths once in a while.
Megan: Usually over a Sazerac or three.
Marcel: If you wanted to have drinks, you could have just asked.
Megan [wincing]: He always could make me laugh.
Nat: Is she gonna need surgery?
Marcel: Depends on if it perforated the kidney.
Megan: Please. If you can do it without surgery... I'm getting married in two weeks.
Marcel: You're getting married? Congratulations.
Megan [to Nat]: Could have been this one if he weren't so hard to land.
Will: Sir, it says you've been here before for heart failure.
Patient: I have?
Will: Yes. And it looks like it's gotten a bit worse. Are you taking your medication?
Patient: Blue ones, white ones.
Will: Good. But they may not be working well enough. Here's the thing. I'm actually involved in testing a brand new heart failure drug, and from what I'm seeing, you may be an excellent candidate.
Patient: More pills?
Will: Just one. And it would help your heart pump better. Now, it is is experimental and we don't have a ton of data, but what I'm seeing does look extremely promising.
Patient: Will it make me better?
Will: I can't make any promises, but from what I'm seeing, in this trial three out of every four patients get the medication and as long as you're one of them, we should get results pretty quickly.
Will: It may not be working.
Sharon: Dr. Choi, I just got off with the the board and they're concerned about your projections for next month.
Choi: I understand, but with North shutting its ED, we had to ramp up for the influx of patients.
Sharon: And I'm sure you're doing everything you can, but with the losses we sustained from treating COVID, they're watching every penny.
Marcel: Dr. Manning. You're looking so... what's the word? Decontaminated.
Nat: Thank you. And I'm sensing a temperature on you of what... 98.4?
We both assault an officer. She gets separated from her baby. I get a slap on the wrist.

Nat: There is an argument to be made here for giving Iesha a compassionate release.
Goodwin: Compassion isn't really the name of the game in the justice system.
Will: We gotta get that air out of his head. Call Abrams down here.
Nurse: Should I call Ethan too?
Will: Ethan isn't his doctor. I am.
All these protocols and none of them prioritize the health of the people in their care.

April: You know, it's nice having you as Chief.
Choi: Actually, I was going to ask you to help keep me in line.
April: She's struggling to breathe. She needs to be intubated.
Doctor: She's not hypoxic. The numbers don't support it.
April: She's using accessory muscles to breathe. She's gonna tire out. I've seen this before. Intubate her or get another doctor who will.
Doctor: Excuse me? You can't talk to me like that. I know what I'm doing.
April: No, you don't, and if you don't get me another doctor I'll come out there and get one myself.
Doctor: I'm gonna suit up. This isn't over.
Abrams: Here he comes. The new chief. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
Will: That's Sam. Seriously though. Well deserved.
Choi: I appreciate that. Hey, how's your case going?
Will: A bit of a mystery, but eventually I'll crack it.
Choi: Let me see if I can help.
Will: Thanks, but I'm good.
Choi: Actually, as the new chief I'd like to take a more hands on approach.
Iesha: You gonna tell them to take off these cuffs?
Nat: It's okay. I can work around them.
Iesha: I heard those cops out there, saying I'm a violent offender. Just like they said I resisted arrest. But I only pushed him cause he was harassing my cousin.
