Bellamy is inside Mount Weather, but he is far from safe. After being readied for harvesting, a process that does not seem at all pleasant, he is placed inside the cages alongside a Grounder prisoner. To protect her, he draws attention to himself so that the Mountain Men harvest him before taking her. Luckily, Maya comes to his rescue and helps him escape. A Mountain Man security guard becomes a casualty of the encounter when Bellamy kills him to ensure their safety. Meanwhile, Jasper is worried for Monty and confronts President Wallace. President Wallace is just trying to protect him, and doesn't want anyone to get hurt. Because of this, his son stages a coup, and takes over the Presidency. Clarke and the Arkers are attacked by Mountain Men, capturing one in the process. They have different opinions on getting him to talk, but none seem to be working. After Bellamy is able to make contact with the Ark, Clark devises a plan that involves releasing the Mountain Man as a distraction to prevent them from looking to closely at what is happening on the inside. In order to follow through with this plan, she must challenge her mother's authority and take matters into her own hands.
