We've been finalizing my divorce. We didn't want to deal with the custody agreement but now that Kellan's 18 we did it. It's been over for a long time, but still. It hurts. And I'm pissed at myself and I'm pissed that I just shared all that with the coldest person I know.

Jordan: I think she made the right choice.
Morgan: She made the only choice any mother would make. She wants to save both her babies.
Jordan: Doesn't that make it the right choice?
Shaun: If we do an emergency C-section, there is a 90% chance the weak baby will die. If we inject with amniotic fluid, there is an 85% chance the strong baby will die. Therefore that is the better option.
Morgan: Survival of the fittest. We should save the strong baby.
Olivia: 5% chance? That's how we decide which baby lives or dies?
Shaun: We don't have to decide. We can induce labor and deliver the strong baby then stop labor before delivering the weak baby.
Andrews: Stopping labor is very hard to do.
Shaun: There is a 70% chance that both babies will die. Making it the worst option. But we should ask Kensie.
Morgan: No, we shouldn't. When she hears there's the slightest chance both her babies will live, everything else will go out the window.
Andrews: It is a terrible option. But it is an option.
Glassman: It's not about equality. It's about giving each person what they need.
Shaun: How do I know what each person needs?
Glassman: Well you've taught the medicine, so maybe it's an emotional issue.
Shaun: I'm definitely not capable of giving her what she needs with that.
Glassman: Maybe you could ask her how she feels.
Shaun: I don't care how she feels.
Glassman: That's the beauty of it. You don't have to care. Just ask. People love to talk about themselves.
Andrews: How is it going with your first years?
Shaun: Jordan talks too much and Olivia talks too little. And Olivia has no idea where the jugular vein is.
Shaun: I guess you were just nervous before.
Olivia: Didn't you have first case jitters?
Shaun: No. [pager beeps] The sick twin is in distress.
Woman: My body is trying to kill one of my babies?
Shaun: Yes.
Woman: What does that mean, Dr. Murray?
[After Shaun points to his name badge]
Morgan: Is your vision blurry?
Woman: A little, but I'm just tired.
Morgan: Could be pre-eclampsia.
Claire: Ugh. Morgan needs me to go in ASAP.
Lim: You think she shouldn't page you? You figure she can handle it just because she used to be a surgical intern?
