There's been a shakeup in the soap opera world.
Sean Kanan is leaving General Hospital (on which his character is in critical condition following due to a gunshot would) and returning to The Bold and the Beautiful to once again portray Deacon Sharpe.
"I was utterly thrilled to be brought back to GH for the 50th anniversary and really enjoyed working with [executive producer] Frank Valentini, but I was not over the moon about the writing," Kanan tells TV Guide Magazine.
"Doing stories about panic attacks and relish was not what I thought I'd signed up for. I feel I brought everything I could to the character yet it was obvious they weren't going to give me a great love story, which I found very disappointing."
Gotta admire the honest, huh?
Kanan will finish shooting General Hospital on March 28 and debut on The Bold and the Beautiful on June 13.
"Deacon is my favorite of all the characters I've played," Kanan says. "I started my career in daytime on GH but returning to B&B feels like I'm going home."
The actor last appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful in 2012 and has taken Deacon over to The Young and the Restless on multiple occasions.
