David tells Michael that’s he’s leaving for a few months to aid in hurricane relief efforts in Haiti.

Michael tells his family that he is going to propose to David before he leaves. While Michael is standing outside the hospital waiting for David, there is an explosion inside.

One hour earlier, the lead-up to the explosion shows David completing brain surgery, a man completing cancer treatment, and a young boy helping aid his newborn sister. An oxygen tank explodes inadvertently after a series of events.

The 118 help evacuate babies from the maternity ward.

The young boy, Parker, finds his baby sister and calls 911. He tells Claudette what room he is in, and Buck and Eddie get there, but the floor is lost to the fire.

Hen and Ravi find Rupert, the man who completed cancer treatments, and he refuses to leave without nurse Callie. Once they find Callie, the roof above becomes unstable and falls on Rupert.

Unwilling to leave his patient, David and his team continue surgery, even though the hospital is being evacuated.

Parker calls back to 911, and Eddie realizes that Parker saw a reflection of the room number he was in, and Eddie and Buck track him to the correct room and rescue him and his sister.

Bobby finds David in surgery and tells him that Michael is outside waiting to propose and he can give him a few minutes to get out. The firefighters keep the fire at bay, and David is able to finish the surgery, and the team is evacuated.

David says yes to Michael’s proposal and decides to join David in Haiti.
