Flashbacks show a young Athena waiting for her father to get home. When he arrives, he is dirty and explains that he got a flat tire. That same night is when Tanya goes missing.

In the present day, the police get fingerprints from Samuel, who is still in a coma but improving. The police warn Athena not to interfere in the investigation.

When they arrive home, Junior and his father, Reggie, are there, and he explains how he laid the foundation for the house, and anyone could have dumped the body there. He also tells them Samuel asked for the addition to the home the day after Tanya disappeared.

Bobby searches through Samuel's things, upsetting Athena, who admits she's afraid her father may have been involved.

Flashbacks show Athena witnessing Tanya's older sister, Joann, be brought home by the police. Athena then talks to the officer, who tells her he wishes there was a way to help the family.

Bobby and Athena go to the Washington's house, where Joann pulls a gun on them. After wrestling the gun away, the three talk, and Joann tells them that the night of Tanya's disappearance, she snuck out to a party Joann was attending. Tanya stayed at the party for a bit, but when Joann could no longer see her, she assumed she had gone home.

When Joann returned home that night, Tanya wasn't there, and she lied to the police.

The police show up to take Athena, as Joanna had earlier called the cops when Bobby and Athena were trespassing. At the station, Dixon tells Athena that he knows Tanya wasn't taken in her sleep and lets her look at case files. They deduce that eggie may have been the one to kill her.

Bobby sees Reggie's car at the orange grove and stops to investigate. He calls Athena, and they realize Joann could be in trouble.

A small flashback shows Junior taking Joann from her house and bringing her to the groves, where he tells her that he plans on blaming Tanya's death on her.

Flashing back to the night of Tanya's death, we see Junior take Tanya away from the party where they drink, and Junior makes Tanya uncomfortable. She runs away, and Junior chases her through the groves before killing her.

In the present day, Bobby attacks Junior before he runs away, and Athena chases him before eventually capturing him.

Athena interrogates Reggie, who admits he knew what Junior did and wanted to protect his son. Dixon then informs him that Junior was a serial killer, having killed several others.

Bobby and Athena go to the hospital, where Samuel has woken up.
