A woman, Sharlo, is sleeping in her home and hears loud rustling coming from downstairs. She calls 911 and attempts to flee the house before coming face to face with the intruder and then taking a nasty fall that leaves her unconscious.

Athena and the 118 arrive, and after Buck investigates, he finds the culprit is a raccoon.

Chimney and Maddie get used to their new nanny Magda.

May stops by her mom's house to study and meets Hoover. After discovering that Athena and May are allergic to the dog, he takes it to Hen's.

Maddie receives a call of a home invasion in progress, and she hears multiple gunshot wounds. It's revealed that the victim was Sharlo's husband, and the invasion was at the same house as the previous evening.

A woman is fixing up her home, and her brother stops by to offer his help with installing insulation in her attic. After the cord gets twisted, he accidentally unleashes a flood of insulation that traps him underneath. The 118 arrives and has to cut into the ceiling to pry the man free. 

Athena and Romero discover that the string of robberies is connected by the homeowners being in the hospital when the homes are burglarized. And the common denominator is that they called 911. The two detectives head to the call center and find out the home invasion logs were all accessed with Maddie's login.

Maddie comes into work and talks with Noah, telling him that she's likely to be fired for negligence with her password. Noah then admits he stole Maddie's password and was using the information to pass along to the robbers, to whom his step-father owed money. Having worn a wire for the conversation, Noah is arrested, and he gives them the location of a future house being robbed.

Athena and Romero are then able to apprehend the burglars.

Hen takes her practical exam, while Karen gives Hoover to Eddie after he destroys their living room.

Eddie tries to give the dog to Chimney after he destroys their kitchen, and eventually, the dog gets to Buck before landing back with Bobby. Finally, Bobby gives the dog to the couple involved in the home invasion.

Karen passes her exam, and the team celebrates at Athena and Bobby's.

Maddie fires Magda while Buck and Eddie help the DIY woman fix her house.

A call comes to 911 from Karen, who reports a deadly explosion at her astrophysics lab.
