- Katherine gets annoyed when Theo tries to help Eddie by tracking down the smoke alarm that needs batteries and almost climbs a ladder by the stairs against Eddie's wishes without Eddie being able to do anything about it.
- Eddie is going to see his divorce attorney and Gary is going with him for moral support. Maggie is at the house again for Sophie.
- Shelly helps Gina hide the fact that she's struggling with her cognitve issues while Rome pitches a new idea inspired by Tyrell. When Rome and Tyrell leave, Shelly tells Gina she's contacting a neurologist.
- Sophie tells Maggie about Layla.
- Maggie warns Sophie against getting consumed by what happend with Peter and suggests an activity to help her cope.
- Eddie tells his lawyer that he doesn't think Katheirne will give him joint custody because of his inability to take care of Theo in the chair. Gary is trying to bite his tongue.
- Gary jumps in to provide some solutions for how finding Eddie a wheel-chair accessible apartment and Darcy is going to get his minivan fitted for hand use.
- Sophie tries to follow Maggie's advice and run. She runs to Layla's house and hopes to talk to her mother.
- Sophie talks tot he Gregorys about Layla.
- Tyrell and Rome set everything up at their location and plan things out for their documentary. They have a sentimental moment with each other.
- Sophie prods the Gregorys for more information about Layla and her relationship with Peter. They don't seem to suspect anything at first, but with Sophie's questions, Mr. Gregory seems like he's catching up to something.
- Sophie tells them everything, and Mrs. Gregory has a bad reaction when she hears Sophie's suspicions. They tell her to leave.
- Katherine tells Eddie that she's not worried about Theo being in Eddies' care because he's in a wheelchair but because of him being an addict
- Gina does OK at that the doctor's office, but he's dismissive of her concerns and won't give her the CT scan she requests.
- Shelly puts the doctor in his place, recognizing what's really going on, and Gina gets her scan.
- Eddie and Katherine argue over custody and Theo and it gets ugly with both of them throwing out hurtful things.
- Rome and Tyrell interviw a woman Nya, and she has a powerful discussion.
- Sophie goes to Maggie to tell her that she went to Layla's parents.
- Gina gets her CT Scan and Shelly is there supporting her the whole time.
- Gary stops to see Katherine and says he agrees with her, and proposes that he be the guardian and supervisoin when Theo visits Eddie. He will move Eddie back into his apartment while Maggie takes care of Sophie and Danny, and he''ll be there when Theo visits. Katheirne awas afraid that everyone would hate her. but Gary reassures her that they could never hate her for protecting her son.
- Rome figures out that the angle should be on the mental toll it takes on the Black community.
- Christopher Gregory stops by the Dixon home to return Sophie's wallet that she left at his house that morning. He tells Maggie that Sophie was brave for sharing with them and that he read Layla's diary and remember reading something about Layla not wanting someone to see her in her bathing suit.
