Recap

The FBI team comes up against a duo of serial bombers whose attacks are linked to a Naval weapons testing site, and scrambles to stop them before they can set off a third explosive device. Looking for redemption, Jane (Jaimie Alexander) goes against Weller's (Sullivan Stapleton) direct orders to pursue the bombers, leaving one of them dead and the other free to take hostages at a Naval recruitment center in Queens.

Weller takes a major risk by offering himself up to the bomber but has an even bigger problem on his hands when Nas (returning guest star Archie Panjabi) makes her own questionable judgment call, killing the suspect just before Weller can peacefully defuse the situation.

Meanwhile, Jane is confronted by Shepherd (Michelle Hurd) with the news that Cade has just punched holes in her escape story, and is thus sent with Roman (Luke Mitchell) to eliminate a former Sandstorm asset named Jeffrey Kantor as proof that she's still on their side. When Jane refuses to shoot Kantor, Roman kills him in front of her and informs her that she's failed her loyalty test.

That doesn't stop him from summoning her back to Sandstorm for a second meeting with Shepherd, wherein Jane finds out that Roman lied and told their mother that she did indeed kill Kantor, though he warns her afterward that if she doesn't get back in line he will take drastic measures of his own.

And Reade (Rob Brown) reaches out to Dr. Borden (Ukweli Roach) about the possibility of having repressed memories after his former football teammate had suggested that Reade may also have been a victim of their coach's sexual abuse, while Zapata (Audrey Esparza) finds out about Patterson's (Ashley Johnson) interest in Borden.
