Blue Bloods Season 10 Episode 9 revolves around change.

Mayor-Elect Chase calls Frank into his office and makes a bunch of demands, including that Frank fire Garrett. Frank wrestles with the decision, but it appears to have been made for him, as Garrett has been offered his dream job at Duke University.

Frank isn't happy, but Garrett is sure the job has nothing to do with a new Mayor coming into office. But Frank does not want to lose Garrett and thinks the new Mayor is more interested in protecting tourism than in what's best for New York City.

Meanwhile, Eddie rides with Sergeant McNichols and finds McNichols still is super critical of her. Eddie struggles to get along with McNichols, who eventually says she hates Reagans because Frank is a hypocrite. Abigail says she doesn't usually do this, but offers some info to Eddie this one time about why McNichols is angry at Frank.

Danny goes undercover to try to catch a guy who claims to want to kill a bartender, but is everything what it seems? And Erin gets into a fight with the court psychiatrist when the psychiatrist declares an abusive nanny not competent to stand trial.
