Blue Bloods Season 11 Episode 2 revolves around Jamie and Danny's quest to take down a mobster.

After a witness gets a bullet to his brain, the brothers lament a new law that requires prosecutors to give defense attorneys witness names. They think this is behind a spate of murders of witnesses. The latest witness to die left behind a young child who is distraught about her father's death. Danny promises her he will get justice.

The mobster behind it, Marconi, appears to believe he is untouchable. Danny and Jamie work together to get him, aware that his teenage son may be the key to everything. After several incidents in which nothing happens besides a lot of banter, Danny and Jamie pull over the teenager and find drugs in his car. He and Marconi's mother are both arrested and Marconi reluctantly agrees to confess.

Meanwhile, Erin anxiously waits to hear if she will be appointed as the new DA after the old DA is arrested, and Frank gets a visit from Joe's mother after Joe is made the poster boy for the NYPD.
