Blue Bloods Season 11 Episode 14 revolves around communications issues.

Frank and Garrett butt heads when Garrett refuses to walk back remarks to the New York Post claiming the NYPD could do better. Frank feels the quote will demoralize the rank and file, while Garrett feels a retraction will just keep the quote alive instead of letting the news move on to something else.

More to the point, Garrett feels that going along with Frank when he disagrees doesn't match his new, more authentic self, while Frank feels that Garrett can no longer be trusted to do the job he needs him to do if he's going to insist on truth over spin all the time.

Elsewhere, Anthony is upset when a man mistakes him for a mob boss and asks him to kill his wife. Erin outfits him with a wire, but the suspect turns out to be all talk, cries that he just wants his wife to love him again, and blames himself for her sleeping with his brother. Erin is not happy that they wasted all this time and money on surveillance and takes it out on Danny, who wants a warrant's scope extended without having the proper grounds.

Finally, Jamie and Eddie disagree over whether Jamie should take a love languages quiz in a magazine.
