When Jamie offers to ride with Officer Kara Walsh he may have taken on more than he bargained for. Although he knows that Officer Walsh testifed against her partner at the request of his father, the Police Commissioner, the rest of the squad does not. Nor do they know her partner's history of another suspect in custody death. When Jamie and Walsh end up taking fire at a robbery in progress, no one responds to their pleas for backup until Eddie and her partner get there from the other side of the precinct.

Elsehwere, Danny asks Erin to reopen an old case when Isabelle Greene dies from complication from a gun shot wound she received eight years earlier. Damon Williams did his time for assault and turned his life around. Whent he District Attorney's office chooses not to recharge him for manslaughter, Danny is furious and blames Erin. Later, Isabelle's father takes matters into his own hands and shoots Daman but Erin manages to convince Damon that second chances are important and he doesn't identify Mr. Greene as the man who shot him.
