Jamie and Eddie come across 13 year old homeless boy, TJ who beleives his aunt and only care giver has been murdered. Jamie takes the case personally and enlists Danny and Baez's help. They track down the aunt's boyfriend who nearly kills Danny he's so drugged out of his mind but later he helps them track down the aunt, Kristy. Kristy is stashed away in a cheap motel getting high. She says she doesn't want to take care of TJ any longer and he ends up finding a family in foster care.

Erin is shocked when McCoy pulls her off a case involving a corrections officer who was picked up with several different kinds of drugs on him. When McCoy oversees the man's plea deal, Erin gets suspicious. She later finds out there is a problem with corrections officer's supplying inmates with drugs but McCoy covered it up to help his close friend who is the Commissioner of the Department of Corrections. Erin is upset and McCoy's career and the future of their relationship seem to both be on the line.
