The Scoobies gush over their excitement over the Homecoming dance. Scott asks Buffy to the dance and she says yes.

Buffy visits Angel at his home; she drops off blood for him. Angel's memory starts to clear up, but he's still acting erratically.

The next day at school, Scott breaks up with Buffy.

A van is surveilling Buffy with cameras placed on her. A man in a wheelchair chats with Mr. Trick; he confirms that she is the target.

The deputy mayor tells Mayor Wilkins about the strange men appearing in town. He looks scared to deliver him the news.

The Scoobies take the yearbook photos; Cordelia eyes her competition for the Homecoming crown. She offers to tell Buffy to take her photo.

Buffy is mad about the breakup. Faith convinces her to go to the dance; they'll go together and have fun. Cordelia opts to campaign for votes instead of telling Buffy.

Buffy asks her teacher for a recommendation, but she doesn't remember her. Buffy takes her frustration out on Cordelia when she finds out that she missed her yearbook photo. Buffy decides to run for Homecoming against Cordelia.

Mr. Trick assembles a group of assassins to play in a game to kill Buffy and Faith. The game is Slayerfest '98.

Willow and Xander try out their homecoming outfits in her room. Sexual tensions rise and they kiss; they back away uncomfortably.

Buffy tries to get Willow, Oz, and Xander to help her with campaigning. Unfortunately, they've already agreed to help Cordelia with her campaigning.

Cordelia and Buffy dive deep into their campaigning while the assassins prepare for the game.

The Scoobies are fed up with Cordelia and Buffy's fight, so they stage a trap and force them to ride the limo together to work out their problems.

The limo drops them off in the middle of nowhere. A live stream of Mr. Trick showcases him explaining the rules of Slayerfest 98. They make a run for it when they get shot at.

Buffy and Cordelia stop the first assassin in a bear trap. He spills all the details of who's in the game.

Faith embarrasses Scott at the dance as retaliation for what he did to Buffy. Xander and Willow look uncomfortable at the dance after what they did.

Cordelia and Buffy hide out in a cabin searching for weapons. The demon breaks into the house to fight, but after a grenade is thrown in, the girls make their escape while the demon explodes.

The Gorch brother and his wife Candy knock out Giles in the library. Buffy kills Candy. Cordelia yells at the brother to convince him to leave town.

Buffy discovers tracking chips in the corsages. The two assassin brothers are in the school to hunt her down.

Buffy lays a trap to confuse the brothers and have them shoot each other.

Mayor Wilkins meets with Mr. Trick. He convinces him to stay in town and work with him.

The results for the Homecoming crown are revealed and it's a tie. Neither Cordelia nor Buffy wins the crown.
