After leaving their father's funeral (with his stolen ashes in hand), Alex convinces Valerie to take a walk around Burbank where they grew up. They hit up a donut shop, their high school, their old house, and finally they head up to a hilltop to spread their father's ashes. Along the way, Valerie tries to deal with the shock that Charles isn't her father. She begins to question everything, but Alex reassures her she's still the same person. As they spread Charles' ashes, they both let go of their resentments toward him. The next morning, Alex confronts his mom about her actions, and she reveals Valerie has another half-brother as well.
