Alex begins work as an IT guy, but quickly realizes he isn’t connecting to the work or his co-workers. He meets with Judy who is the COO, but acting as HR. She tells him to try to relax since it’s his first day. The following day, Alex has an outburst when his co-worker tears him down for failing to fix her computer. Judy tells him she isn’t interested in hiring a new IT guy, so he needs to learn how to do his job.

Valerie reconnects with Jennifer, who tells her that Jack is a sex addict. Later on, Valerie reaches out to him and they have an awkward lunch. Jennifer is pissed because Jack knows she told Valerie about being a sex addict. Valerie and Jack make light of their previous awkward interaction and agree to get together again.

Laura begins her new job for Casey, the community organizer. Laura ends up hooking up with her immediate superior, Todd. Casey fires Todd after figuring out what happened. Laura doesn’t understand what the big deal is, but Casey explains he took advantage of her since he was her superior and older than her. Laura realizes Todd is a jerk and goes back to work for Casey.

Alex has Leon watch his house for the day when Rae invites over her friends to the house to play Magic: The Gathering. Leon joins in the game and has a great time. After Alex gets home after his second day at work, he joins Leon and Rae for the game.
