On Chicago Fire Season 3 Episode 5 Lt. Casey learns from his niece, that his sister and brother-in-law aren't doing as well as he previously thought. Dawson and Mills also continue to adjust to their new roles at Station 51 as Sylvie Brett faces a decision on her future.
Casey was under the impression that everything was fine with his sister, until he gets the surprising news that she is getting divorced. He begins to worry and asks Det. Adam Ruzek to look into his brother-in-law's life and financial status. Ruzek finds that he may be trying to hide assets from Casey's sister.
While his sister may not want to fight for the money, Casey isn't backing down. He threatens his brother-in-law that and tells him he must disclose the financial assets to his sister. Unfortunately, it looks like this may be one battle that's just beginning.
Meanwhile, Herrmann is upset at the preferrential treatment Dawson seems to be getting from Casey at the station. He tries to confront Chief Boden with his concerns, but Boden doesn't want to hear it. Eventually Herrmann blows his top, and yells at Dawson.
It turns out that Dawson was also aware of the tension. The two talk it out and agree that she will shadow Herrmann instead of Casey to ease the tension. Herrmann vows to make her into a great firefighter.
Severide is still drinking and dealing with the aftermath of Shay's death, and Sylvie Brett must decide whether or not she is going to leave Chicago with her ex-fiance. To see what happens, watch Chicago Fire online via TV Fanatic.
