On Chicago Med Season 5 Episode 10, several of the doctors go through difficult times.

When a six-year-old boy is brought into the ER after burning himself, his mother recognizes Will. The mother is high on heroin and tells Will she became an addict after he prescribed her pain meds four years ago. Will feels guilty and becomes determined not to let her lose her child to CPS. He gets Natalie to agree to keep the kid in the hospital overnight and puts Lynn on a rapid detox, but when Natalie learns that Jesse has helped reverse his mother's overdoses before, she calls CPS and they take the kid anyway and Lynn leaves the hospital against medical advice. And later, this leads to a tragedy while Will and Natalie are not on speaking terms.

Meanwhile, Dr. Charles has trouble pulling himself out of a funk after Cici's death to help Currie with a patient who is presenting with panic attacks, while April feels guilty about the kiss she shared with Marcel and allows that to cloud her judgment while working with him on a patient.
