Ellis has been in an iron lung for 60+ years. He contracted polio as a child, just a month before the vaccine became available. Despite his disability, he is a successful financial planner with a big house. However, his aide noticed Ellis was pale and wants Will to take a look.

Meanwhile, Randall keeps discovering that the rules he implemented interfere with giving his patient timely treatment.

Finally, Stevie flips out when she finds out that her mother has secretly been receiving treatment in the hospital, while Scott learns something surprising about Tyrell.
