Meanwhile, Marcel is upset when a 10-day old baby comes into the ER needing a new set of intestines due to a birth defect. If they can't get donated organs quickly, the baby will die. Meanwhile, a pregnant woman comes into the ER after a car accident. She is braindead, but the baby is possibly viable, leaving the woman's parents to make a difficult decision.

Finally, Vanessa and Charles work with an Indian woman who appears to be having psychosomatic symptoms while preparing for her daughter's upcoming nuptials to a man she has never met in person before, as it is an arranged marriage.
