When a man is brought into the hospital after a car crash, he asks where his wife is and says that she was in labor during the crash. He believes she is somewhere in the woods near where the crash occurred. Archer calls in the local sheriff, but Dr. Lieu isn't sure the sheriff's office has the resources to do search and rescue operations. He convinces Archer to let him join the rescue team. Archer recruits Asher, saying she needs to go too since the woman is in need of an OBGYN.

Meanwhile, Will meets a teenage girl who has a heart condition. She's a swimmer and collapsed in the pool, nearly drowning. Will runs tests and finds the girl has a rare heart condition. However, having surgery to install a defibrillator will mean she can't compete in a swim competition that will lead her to her dream of being in the Olympics. When her father agrees she needs surgery, she files for emancipation.

Finally, Marcel struggles with his discomfort over using OR 2.0 for a complicated procedure and Charles works with a dying woman who is the sole guardian of her developmentally disabled grandson.
