- Ruzek runs into issues when he goes to pick up Makayla from school. Kim didn't have him as an authorized person, and it becomes a huge issue until Kim resolves it. It bothers Ruzek.
- A missing girl named Brianna goes missing from her backyard.
- They find a tiara and blood.
- Voight notices that upstead got married.
- Ruzek wants to clarify that he's added on the list to pick up Makayla elsewhere and Burgess says she'l make calls about it.
- Halstead and Atwater are on talking to all the sex offenders in search of Brianna.
- Kim and Ruzek get a lead from the neighbor that Brianna's family is usually arguing about her a lot. He implies that he father gets very passionate and may be too loud or abusive.
- Voight and Ruzek talk to him.
- Kim finds a sex offender who was talking to Brianna. They go to investigate.
- Ruzek finds a bunch of paintings in the man's house of a bunch of different girls including Brianna.
- Ruzwater get another lead on their suspect.
- They find Charlie on some surveillance and find what could be Brianna's sweater in his trunk
- They get a lead at a place he's at and see his belongings there. They find Charlie and arrest him
- Ruzek asks Kim why she doesn't want him on things for Makayla, and she tells him that she thinks they need boundaries in case he's not there anymore or starts seeing someone else.
- Ruzek presses Charlie and threatens him with putting him in gen pop but they find footage of someone else trying to take Brianna. They don't have enugh for facial recognition. But it's the white car that Charlie mentioned.
- Ruzek goes back to ask Charlie about the car, but he refuses to answer anything.
- Adam pushed Charlie too hard. Ruzek takes Charlie home, and there are fliers about him being a pedophile all over and his house is vandalized.
- Ruzek opens up to Charlie about having a daughter the same age and being afraid and tells him about what he saw.
- They get a lead that th enighborh Ruzez and Burgess interviewed is the one who has Makayla. He had a kid who died in an accident years ago, and Brianna is around the same age his daughter would've been
- They arrest him but still don't have Brianna.
- They interview Justin who isn't talking and completely out of it.
- Burzek find Brinanna in a warehouse that DiFranco was holding her in.
- Ruzek and Kim talk. they make an agreement.
- Makayla tells Ruzek about a man who gives her candy and waits for her at school and they look at the footage.
- They find out it's Makayla's uncle and he's filing a petition for custody
