In Dallas season one, the Ewings that occupy Southfork are J.R., Bobby and his wife Ann. Also, there's Sue Ellen who is running for governor of the great state of Texas, J.R.'s son John Ross and Bobby's son Christopher.
Dallas season 1 opens with J.R. coming out of his depressive state to help his son stop Bobby from handing over Southfork to a conservancy which will protect the land after he dies. Both J.R. and John Ross try to usurp the deal and John Ross takes it a step further. He attempts to nullify the late Miss Ellie's will by proving she wasn't in a sound state of mind when she wrote it, therefore opening up the land to be drilled for oil. Little do J.R. and John Ross know that Bobby is hiding a secret. He has an inoperable tumor that he hasn't told anyone about, wanting to keep the news a secret until after his son Christopher's wedding to Rebecca. But little does anyone know that Rebecca is hiding her own secret. Will the news about Bobby's illness be revealed? Will Rebecca's secret come out on Dallas Season 1?
