In the Sierra Maestra Mountains on October 16, 1962, a couple of Cuban soldiers find an alien.

Rory wakes everyone up to tell the team that he got a hit on the alien that took Sara. They head to Cuba in 1962 without picking up Constantine and Astra at his mansion.

Behrad stays on the ship while the Legends, lead by Rory, unknowingly steal a Soviet warhead.

In Washington D.C., JFK receives photos of the Waverider. They believe it is a new bomber from the Soviet Union.

Ava sends Nate and Zari to D.C. to make sure JFK doesn't start World War III. Nate pretends to be an international relations expert while Zari pretends to be his secretary.

Spooner and Rory find out that the alien pod is being taken to Fidel Castro's secret bunker. Ava and Behrad go there and Ava disguises herself as an alien doctor.

Behrad is mistaken as Che Guevara and is taken to Castro. He tells him he is Che's cousin -- Jay.

JFK receives pictures of Nate as Steel in Cuba. The Russians believe that the Americans sent Steel to sabotage their missiles. JFK decides to go to DEFCON 3.

Ava steals the alien from their operating room.

Spooner and Rory try to return the warhead they stole to the Russians, but the Cubans intercept them.

The alien wakes up and attacks Ava. Rory and Spooner save her and take her back to the Waverider.

The alien tries to kill Castro, but Behrad saves him. Castro plans to send a nuke to D.C. because he believes the Americans sent the alien to kill him.

JFK hears of Castro's plans and goes to DEFCON 2 with plans to send their missiles to Russia. Strategic Air Command

Castro gets a call from Che, so Behrad runs away.

Spooner and Rory find the alien by the nuke. She is looking for a spaceship. Rory bargains with the alien, telling her that she can hop a ride on the Waverider if they help them find Sara.

Castro launches the nuke.

JFK gets a report of the missile launch. Nate convinces him not to strike back. The nuke lands in the White House's front yard, but it doesn't go off.

Rory stole the plutonium from the nuke with the help of the alien.

The alien -- Kayla -- hooks up a turbo charger to the Waverider. She and Rory take it to find Sara, while the rest of the team goes to Constantine's mansion.
