2016 - Music for “The Ladies Who Lunch” as a well-armored agent is sent into a target setting. He gathers the damaged mannequins, replacing them with new ones. He is vigilant for movement, but when a Butt attacks him, he’s unable to get away fast enough.

At Doom Manor, Rita calls a meeting which the rest of the team beats her to. They tell her they want Rouge to lead the team. Rouge isn’t at the meeting and she’s surprised by the nomination.

Rita insists the source of the zombie issue is Darren Jones. Everyone agrees but they plan to let Rouge lead still. Rita decides to sit it out since she’s not wanted.

Rouge suggests everyone take a beat to get ready for the mission. She sends them all away for an hour. As they leave, she grabs Cliff and directs him to accompany her immediately to track down Darren Jones and kill him.

2017 - Ant Farm - Dr. Margaret Yu is admitted. She is read in on the were-butt project. She is to establish a means of communication in order to assert control and order. She’s enchanted by the proposition.

Vic works on hacking the Bureau’s system to find out about the Butts that are still out there. At the same time, he gets a response from the friend he reached out to on social media. In the Bureau’s system, he discovers a Butt is about to be dropped off by an outside agent.

In the greenhouse, Larry’s talking with Keeg, trying to convince him to trust that Larry and the team can fix things. Keeg separates from Larry and acts agitated. Keeg flies off.

Rita comes into the greenhouse, hurt that Larry sided against her.

Jane looks at the puzzle pieces. More pieces fall out of the bag than the bag could possibly hold. There are no edges or corners. Frustrated, she walks out of the room.

In the kitchen, Vic is packing a bag. He tells Jane that Rouge and Cliff left without them. He asks Jane if she wants to come with him to intercept the Butt drop-off. She accepts.

Cliff and Rouge ride bicycles to Darren Jones’s barn. They get sidetracked by a car in a ditch that Cliff likes. As they’re talking, Darren Jones drives a tractor by them, singing Old MacDonald.

2017 - Ant Farm - Dr. Yu has trained the Butts to sing and dance to choreography to the song, “Shipoopi” to show the complexities and intelligence they are capable of. The military is happy they can now weaponize the Butts. Dr. Yu is devastated.

At the manor, Larry is looking for Keeg in the electrical wiring. Rita ambushes him. She tries to guilt him into apologizing. Instead, he tells her why they needed a new leader. He points out that she was changed by time travel and has treated them all as strangers ever since she came back.

Vic and Jane, posing as Bureau agents, wait for the operative to drop off the Butt in a park. Jane teases Vic about trying to live life as a Normie. Vic asks about Kay and tells Jane about the recorded interview sessions Kay asked him to do for her when she was out.

Cliff and Rouge wait for Darren Jones in his barn. Turns out Cliff can still understand Zombie speech. Darren tells Cliff that he renounced zombi-ism and now grows heirloom tomatoes. He begs Cliff to kill him. Cliff doesn’t want to kill him if he wants it.

Rouge pulls Cliff’s scented helmet off his head and Darren goes crazy as he catches the scent of Cliff’s brain. He attacks Cliff and Cliff kills him in self-defense.

Cliff realizes he lost the oven mitt in the fight and the first thing he’s feeling with his new sense of touch is Darren’s blood.

Vic and Jane meet up with the Butt Hunter. He reports the Bureau lost a horde of Butts about a year ago. He has the final escaped Butt. He suggests this one is sick or infected by something.

While the Butt Hunter gets the Butt out of his truck, Jane reminds Vic the real Bureau agents are on their way.

As they carry the Butt’s crate away, the real Bureau agents arrive and Jane calls on Flit to teleport them back to the manor.

2019 - Ant Farm - Dr. Yu has been reassigned and is listening to music when the Doom Patrol break out of the Ant Farm (Season 1 Episode 12), releasing all the were-butts. In the aftermath, she’s told to evacuate before the exterminators arrive. She finds one of the butts – she’d named him Nicholas – hiding in a cabinet.

At the Manor, Keeg is still evading Larry, Rita makes herself a cuppa. Cliff and Rouge return to announce Darren Jones is dead. Jane and Vic carry the crate in containing the final zombie Butt. Rouge tasks Cliff with killing it and leaves. Cliff opens the crate, sees the frozen Butt, and shuts the crate again.

He considers what he lost in killing Darren Jones. His hands shake a bit. Around the corner, Rouge listens.

Vic returns to the lab. He gets another message from Deric. He lets him know his weekend opened up.

Jane watches Kay’s interview tape. Kay hypothesizes the alts need a new purpose, other than protecting her. She expresses confidence that Jane can put the pieces together.

PRESENT DAY - Dr. Yu returns home to her apartment where The Ladies Who Lunch plays. She makes a bowl of food and brings it to Nicholas who is waiting at the table.
