In the season finale of eastbound and Down, Kenny Power finally returns to America.  After using his celebrity to get through border patrol, he begins his mission to reclaim the love he left behind, April.  After cursing at some kids, insulting his former boss, and causing a classic Kenny Powers style public spectacle, he finds April is pregnant with another man’s baby.  

Heartbroken, Kenny decides to leave for Myrtle Beach where he will begin training camp for the Texas AA team.  As he bids farewell to Stevie, he assigns him one more task.  Stevie is to take a box full of completed tapes (which contain Kenny’s new book) to April.  As Kenny is about to leave, April, won over by the honesty in his manuscript she has heard on those cassettes, shows up and announces the baby is Kenny’s.  T

his is no happy ending, however, because April announces that she’s not interested in being in love with Kenny anymore.  Kenny asks her if they can just have dinner.  She agrees, but prefers to ride in her own car.
